Stitching has been no exception. I get 5 minutes here, 15 minutes there, maybe an hour if I'm lucky. I think I spend more time getting things out and putting them away than I actually do putting needle to fabric. But that's okay. I know it won't always be like this and I keep reminding myself to enjoy it while it lasts. Both of my kiddies are so amazing!
I have been able to keep up with everyone else's blogs, though. The laptop is my companion during the many long nursing sessions day and night. And I can comment with one free hand. There are so many amazing projects going on out there in Stitching BlogLand and I am impressed with how fast so many of you are! I'm a slow stitcher when I have all the time in the world on my hands, so throw in a 1-month-old and I move at a pace of a few stitches a day ;)
It should come as no surprise to me or anyone else then that this little bitty project - LHN's Peace Thread Pack - took me an epic 8 days to complete!

I also went to my LNS Wednesday to look for a little something. I came home with LHN's "The Old West" chart. I'm going to start this soon and give it to my mom for her birthday in October (that's how slow I am...). My mom lives in Tucson - that's where Cuddle Bug was born, too - so this piece is perfect for her right down to the "Tucson" sign!
I hope you all are having beautiful spring weather!! We went to the park this weekend and Cuddle Bug went down the big slide all by himself! He's growing up too fast!
Happy Spring to everyone!

Beautiful finish, Kim :) Congratulations :)
((hugs))
This is the one I finished last year for my Mama...I love it! :)
I understand about the "me time" but once she gets 6 mos. old...you'll have more freedom!
Oh i can so relate and i only have the one! Dont know how you have any time to stitch with two! You've got more done than me thats for sure, your finish is really lovely.
Reading your post made me think of when Arden was just born. I can't believe that it's been 15 months!!
I remember those newborn days when The Little Tot came along. The stars would align and I'd have a block of time to stitch...and as soon as I got everything out and all set up and made a handful of stitches, something would wake her up and I had to put it all away again. :-(
But like everything else, this stage passes by and soon you'll have bigger chunks of time to stitch. :-)
Pretty finish! Doesn't matter that it took you 8 days-you finished!
Yes, enjoy these times. The "me" time will come around again eventually. I'm seriously impressed with your 8-day finish, though. It probably would have taken me even longer. It's lovely, by the way! Nice saying!!
Great job stitching. You will be surprised how fast you get your mother's piece done. Be sure to take the time with your kiddos because they are only that size once. And still you will find a way to fit in some "me" time as well.
It is so good to see you back blogging.
what a pretty finish!!! I'm awestruck that you could finish it in 8 days with two little ones :)
I got a smile out of thinking of you commenting with one hand while holding the baby with the other. There was no way I could have stitched while ds was little - we called him velcro baby as I could never put him down. I love your LHN finish - I see you got through the leaves on that one!
That you could stitch that in only 8 days with two little ones in the house is darn near amazing in my book! lol It's very pretty! Congrats on your finish!
It may have taken you 8 days but it is absolutely beautiful:)
Wow that is pretty quick stitching...you do have your hand's full... ahhh... one hand that is ..lol.
What a lovely piece!
Your LHN finish is lovely! And I didn't stitch for seemingly years when my kiddos were young, so you're doing fantastic :)
Hi Kim, I luv that design and your stitching is very beautiful!
Beautiful finish!
I love the Old West, great taste in designs.
Those babies grow up way too fast, lol
The Peace finish is lovely! As far as I'm concerned, eight days is fast!!!!! Great job.
Beautiful finish! Those LHN pieces are so fantastic!!
It's beautiful. It's nice to still be able to stitch, even if it's slow going! And commenting with one hand is a skill!!!
Beautiful finish! And I like the new project you are going to start -- your Mom will love it!
This is really pretty! I have enjoyed finding your blog, I will return!! Enjoy those lil ones, they are so precious!
I love your peace finish Kim, it's eally lovely. I must add that one to my ever growing LHN stash.
i think your amazing to get any stitching done with the little ones. especially in 8 days, that's not bad at all. I had 3 under the age of 5, and I couldn't imagine having any me time LOL
Enjoy them both, they grow up way to fast, I miss having a baby in the house
look forward to seeing your new start
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment, Kim! How are your little bugs?
Whew when are we gonna have some sun again?!
Beautiful finish!
