I'm a stay-at-home mom and craft enthusiast. Counted cross stitch is my very favorite, and I've been venturing into quilting lately. What I lack in skill I make up for in sheer joy and enthusiasm!
As my Grandpa used to tell my Granny, "Let's have a little more dirt and a lot less hell!" Granny tended to get her panties in a wad if her house was mussed :) So I think your drinking tea, having bread and a little stitching sounds like heaven. I plan on having a bit of heaven on earth ALL WEEKEND and MONDAY too!
Great post. I had a chuckle about your laundry - I've had a basket of clean clothes BEGGING to be folded since Sunday now and every morning I empty it on the bed to find whatever and then at some point later in the day when the bed looks messy with all the clothes scattered about, I toss the clothes back in the basket ... they'll get folded .. or we'll just keep pulling what we need out until it's empty! :) Tanya
In my opinion, your priorities are just perfect! I remember trying to find stitching time when my kids were little, so I say if the kiddos are napping, that's a PERFECT time to stitch. Enjoy your downtime!
I plan to do the same very thing this weekend. Schools out for MLK Day, so we will have a 3 day holiday. I'm looking forward to the rest. I love the napping bugs quote! Hugs, DaisyGirl
I'd much rather stitch in quiet time so I don't lose count of stitches. You know how hard it is to try and count stitches when you've got someone asking where something is, or they just have to tell that joke they heard. Towels can be folded while talking and you don't have to worry about loosing count. Unless you count your towels, and in that case, girl we gotta have a talk! LOL!

What a great picture - it looks very inviting and a perfect way to spend some quiet time.
That is the exact same choice I always made when my kids napped, Kim--that was the only stitching time I ever got back in those days :)

Nice to see you have your priorities straight!
What a cute post. I love it. Stitching, tea and banana bread always wins out over housework.
Makes me wish my three bugs still napped!
I think you made the right choice! Love your mug, BTW!
Yum! great choice!

That summs up my week off last week, now back to work though.
Gotta squeeze in more stitching time this weekend to make it up!
Your design is so pretty! Stitching and colors are gorgeous.
Enjoy your time!

I think I'd make the same choice, exactly the same, lol.
Loe the little peace pillow that you finished and showed in your last post. Very pretty.
