I Did It!!

My very first needle roll finish!

Little House Needleworks Roll
DMC and Crescent Colors on 30 ct WDW linen (color: Linen)
Stitched 4/10/08 - 4/14/08
Finished as Needle Roll 4/15/08

I did the finishing while watching "Tales from Avonlea" on DVD. Aunt Hetty was doing some hand embroidery in one of the episodes. I felt like we were both accomplishing a little something at the same time :)

Thank you for all your kind comments and support!

Wow, your needlroll is just gorgeous and how creative you were to make up your own! Great job! I agree, it is hard to find a lot of great needleroll patterns. Maybe, I need to think more in the shower instead of rushing through-LOL

I was just about to leave a comment on your last post to say if you get stuck with the instructions of the needleroll tutorial to give me a holler (I wrote the tutorial), but here you are with it all finished! Hope the instructions proved simple and you didn't pull your hair out with them - your finished product certainly looks gorgeous! Great job :D In fact, if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind putting a photo of it on the FoF blog, if you'd be OK with that?
Kind regards, Anne

It is so cute! A huge congratulation not only for finishing your first needleroll, but also for designing a piece you like from parts. It is beautiful and I love the soft springy colors! I may have to do this too, I've never made a needleroll!
