My First Pinkeep

Well here it is - my very first pinkeep. I'm not too sure I'm entirely pleased with the ribbon I picked out for it. I'm thinking I should have gone with white instead. Any opinions?

I can always change it. I'm worried the pink ribbon detracts too much from the stitched design and isn't pulled together with the green backing fabric. I would have liked to have used a brown ribbon, but I couldn't find any suitable. Any thoughts? Do I need to make another trip to the craft store for different ribbon? Be honest - seriously! I'm not going to post this to the Monthly Finishing Challenge blog until I have made a decision about the ribbon. I'm hesitant to even put it up here since I'm not quite sure how I feel about it just yet. But I know you will all give your honest and constructive opinions...right? :)

I like it :-)
But if it bothers you too much you could change it. I love the green fabric and actually have it in my fabric stash as well. I like your pinkeep so much that I may have to copycat yours :-) What floss did you use??

For what it is worth IMHO I think it looks fab, just how it is. I like pink and green together !! The finishing looks beautiful and as for that super posh bow..... :-))) you'd think you were a pro already .

This is your first attempt at a pinkeep? OMG! This looks more like I hope my 40th will...you did such a great job!

As for the pink, I love it. I think white would be too stark and it really ties the front to the back. Leave it, I say, but you need to do what makes you happiest.

I think its lovely and the pink ribbon picks up the pink in the stitched design. I say tuck it away and take another look at it tomorrow. If you feel the same tomorrow you can always switch the ribbon out then. The main thing is to be happy with your work.

The pink looks wonderful. It complements the hearts and the pink lettering in the design. I agree that white would be quite stark. But it's your work, so do what your heart tells you to do. Either way, it's a terrific first pinkeep. And where did you learn how to do that bow?

The pink looks wonderful! I wouldn't change it for anything! How did your floss ring making go? Is it hard?

The pinkeep is beautiful! Love the bow on top! And the backing fabric is just perfect. I'm with Helen... pink and green go well together!

I like the pink very well. White would sort of 'fade away' whereas the pink says "notice me!" :D
